King Midas was a king in Greek mythology who wished that everything he touched would turn to gold. At first, he was thrilled with his newfound wealth, but soon he realized that he had turned his daughter and everything else he loved to gold as well. He begged the gods to take back his wish, and he was ultimately freed from his curse.
“Be careful what you wish for, for sometimes the things we desire most can turn into our greatest curse.”
